Christmas from Chase's Perspective!

The following are snapshots of Chase on Christmas Day. I feel the true joy and excitement of Christmas are displayed in the photos below, thus I will refrain from commenting. Christmas from Chase's perspective...

I hope that everyone had a joyous Christmas! Best wishes for an amazing 2009! :)

Christmas Eve 2008

It is a tradition in our family to perform, "Twas the Night Before Christmas." We have been doing this play every Christmas Eve since I can remember. My mom has pictures of my sister and I as reindeers, sugar plum fairies, mice, Santa, etc. Needless to say, we are all grown now, but continue the tradition with our children. Chase was having a bit of a dilema deciding whether he wanted to be a mouse (rat to him) or a reindeer. He just decided to be both. He wished to be called "The "Rat" Reindeer." The most humorous part was when I read, "Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse." Upon his cue, he came out of the corner and growled at everyone. A very mouse-like, excuse me, rat-like thing to do!
Chase with his cousins Alyse and Miranda. These three are seriously the "Three Musketeers!" This picture was snapped shortly before they pulled one another down to the ground and began laughing hysterically!

Chase always has a way of talking adults into playing board games with him. Christmas Eve was no exception. He got my cousins to sit down and play "Neighboorhood Sounds Bingo" with him. Kristen won the game and everyone had to get up and pretend that they were in a parade. Pegs won the next game, and Chase reminded her to say, "Good Try!" to the rest of the players. Out of the mouths of babes...

The Oakland House Field Trip

Today Chase and I took a field trip with my M.O.M.S. Club to The Oakland House in Affton. He was able to hear a Christmas story, watch a puppet show, sit on Santa's lap and enjoy a chocolate chip cookie from Mrs. Claus. We both had a wonderful time!

Preparing for Christmas!

Chase is really excited for Christmas! A few weeks ago, I put up the Christmas lights outside, but we had not put up the tree until this past weekend. Chase enjoyed helping trim the tree and get out all of the Christmas decorations. We had to have our George slippers on to help! Is there any other way?

Unpacking boxes!

Maybe if I keep pulling on the tape, it will come out!

A portion of our beautiful Christmas village. It only stayed this way during Chase's nap. After that, it was completely redone! :)

Our gorgeous Christmas tree!

TJ's Birthday Party

TJ is one of Chase's good buddies from the Charter School. On Saturday, Chase joined TJ for his birthday party at The Museum of Transportation. The Creation Station at the museum is so much fun! Chase had a blast playing at all of the different stations. Here is a picture of the birthday boy and Chase coloring a picture!

Chase and Isabelle (Chase's princess) enjoyed pretending to be pirates on the "lifesize" (atleast to them) ship!

What pirate ship would be complete without a "secret" cabin?

Perhaps the cutest picture ever! Chase enjoyed peeking out the porthole!

"Captain" Chase steering the "big" ship!

My Big Boy!

As I was uploading pictures to my computer, I couldn't help but to think of the three years that have passed since my beautiful boy came into this world! In that time, I have witnessed him grow, learn and change on a daily basis! He was just a peanut (and still is in many respects) when he arrived and has blossomed into a handsome, intelligent, funny and amazing little being. He is able to spell his name, recite his alphabet, identify upper/lowercase letters, play games with his mommy/daddy, count to twenty, throw, catch, kick, tell silly jokes, and has even begun early stages of reading. All these things and he is just three?!? I am so thankful for this unbelievable gift!
To all of the Mommies out there, just one bit of advice: Live, Laugh and Love with your child everyday! There are a lot of things that you can change, but you can never change time not spent with your children!
Thank you for so many blessings, Chase! I love you!

Halloween 2008

Chase really wanted to be a Superhero this year and decided on Spectacular Spiderman! He tried so hard to make the Spiderman sign with his hands, but couldn't quite figure out how to get his two fingers down without making the others go down as well.

It is a tradition that MaMa A. gets a picture of each grandchild with her geese. I am not really sure where Chase is looking...

Chase with his cousins. The Incredible Hulk (aka Jake) and Nancy Drew (aka Madison).

Chase-Man with his Mommy and Daddy.

We went over to visit Jason's parents for Halloween. Jason's dad had different faces flashing up on his garage door. Chase thought it would be funny to try to scare the faces that appeared. I thought this picture was adorable, as it depicts him and his shadow.
